THE VINTAGE BIKE CARTEL - Restorers and retailers of fine vintage and retro bicycles BIKE: custom build (possibly Claud Butler) SIZE: 22.5” SPECIFICATION: Here we have another one of our great value custom builds finished in what our refinishers likes to call “campag blue” The identity of the frame isn’t known but I’d be willing to guess its a Claud Butler by the design. The forks were added by me and are much newer but I think they work well overall. The bike is pretty lightweight too so could be reynolds. I’ve built this one up as a nice five speed with a Simplex red label groupset, Weinmann brakes and Mavic rims laced to Campagnolo hubs (record at the rear) Both bottom bracket and headset bearings have been re-greased, all cables and outers are new, as is the quality KMC chain, Cables and outers are Jagwire, not cheap alternatives. Everything works as it should, and if you are close enough to collect from the shop, you’ll get a free six week check up too. All of our bikes are checked over and serviced where necessary by a trained technician before going on sale to make sure your new push iron is the best it can be. Here at the vintage bike cartel we specialise in custom bike builds and servicing of all kinds. We are a real life workshop and you're welcome to come and view all of our bikes and take a test ride or two if you like. Cash on collection or shipping is fine too Search for the vintage bike cartel online to see our bikes and builds ABOUT THE VINTAGE BIKE CARTEL AND OUR BICYCLES: the VBC is a physical shop and workshop based near Ashby De la Zouch in Leicestershire. It is run by myself, I source, restore, list, package and ship all the bikes we stock. All bikes are used unless stated as NOS or New Old Stock, they will have marks and scuffs from use, which will be all listed in the details which you need to read clearly, the detailed pictures also form part of the description Any unusual issues will be noted clearly in the listing. We DONT sell any bikes with seized seat posts or stems. We aim to ship your bike within three days, as a one man operation, it can take a short while to service check and prepare your new push iron for shipping. Your bike will arrive in a recycled bike specific box and may require some reassembly, if you're not sure, any local bike shop can build it for you - normally it's simply a case of refitting your front wheel and putting the bars and seat back on, then fitting pedals if supplied. If you find you need any advice, please feel free to make contact.
